2.    The information contained on the Website is the property of the Company

3.    All information is provided for education and entertainment purposes only, not for the purpose of providing investment or financial advice

4.    A user of the website is not required to provide personal information or register in any way, but if they use the website, they agree to the terms of use disclosed herein

5.    While every attempt at 100% accuracy is the goal of the Company, from time to time there may be errors contained in this Website, and there is no warranty for the User against these errors.  The Company expressly disclaims any and all liability for errors, omissions, misunderstandings, misinterpretations, and other information detrimental, both perceived and actual, to the User

6.    The User agrees to use the Website at their own risk

7.    The User agrees to indemnify and hold Barfield Financial, LLC and its agents, employees and affiliates harmless from any claim, demand, loss (investment, market, or otherwise), cost or expense, including attorney’s fees, made by any person arising out of a violation of this agreement.  This indemnity applies to both actual and perceived costs, expenses, and loss.

8.    The User agrees to indemnify and hold Barfield Financial, LLC and its agents, employees and affiliates harmless from any claim, demand, loss (investment, market, or otherwise), cost or expenses, including attorney’s fees, as a result of reliance on any information contained within the Website, or in other communications from the Company (email, telephonic conversation, in person conversation, or otherwise).

9.    If the User voluntarily provides information to the Company through the Website, the Company will have access to that information for the purpose of communicating with the User.  See Privacy Policy.

10. The User agrees that a website about finances is not a substitute for receiving advice from a financial professional, tailored to the User’s need.

11. Our newsletters allow comments from Users. Anyone using this feature agrees not to post obscene, vulgar, or irrelevant content. The Company reserves the right to delete any comments posted anywhere on this site for any reason.

Privacy Policy

Our goal is to PROVIDE information, not COLLECT it.  To that end, Barfield Financial, LLC requires no personal information from anyone using this site. Any visitor has full access to this site without providing a name, phone number, password, email, or other piece of information. We do not have a paid-subscriber option. All subscriptions are free to the User. If you choose to become a subscriber, we collect the name and email address you provide for the purpose of the newsletter we send out.  To further protect your email privacy, we first require you to authenticate the email as proof that you control the account.

We never sell, share, or otherwise provide your information to any third party.  We do not earn revenue from any ads, nor do we allow companies to advertise on our site.  

If you use the voluntary contact form, that information is subject to this same privacy policy-we do not share it. We use the information provided solely as a way to respond to your inquiry to help answer your question.  We also ask that you not share any sensitive information such as banking information, date of birth, or Social Security numbers when using this form.

At any time, a subscriber can unsubscribe from our newsletter by simply clicking the “Unsubscribe” link that is at the bottom of all of our newsletters that go out.  Additionally, you can send us an email and request that your name be permanently removed from our database, which includes both subscribed and unsubscribed names. We can be reached at chris@barfieldfinancial.com

If you send us an email, we save that email in our archives to assist you with future questions or correspondence. This assists us with remembering who you are, and the specifics of your situation. We do not forward these emails to anyone. They are not used for marketing purposes or for any other reason other than to assist you with your financial questions. At any time, we will immediately and permanently delete any correspondence from or to you if you notify us via email at chris@barfieldfinancial.com

Our website is hosted by Squarespace.  Squarespace collects some analytical data such as, but not limited to, number of visits to our site, number of unique visitors, pageviews, geographic location, and who opened an email we sent. When you use our subscriber request form, Squarespace manages this database of names and email addresses. This information is collected by Squarespace and their privacy policy is located here: https://www.squarespace.com/privacy.  We have no control over what Squarespace collects or what they do with the information they collect.

If you are an avid reader of Barfield Financial, you know that we believe personal finance is VERY personal. Your situation is very unique to you, but the information you are reading on our site is very general to everyone.
